Chief Investigator
- Case-control study of mechanical ventilation in pregnant/postpartum women and non- pregnant/postpartum women with H1N1 influenza.
- Pattern and rate of massive transfusion for obstetric haemorrhage.
- Need for, and analysis of, a modular maternal critical care education program.
- Development of a severity of preeclampsia score.
- Influenza vaccination uptake during pregnancy.
Associate Investigator
- The Australasian Maternity Outcomes Surveillance System (AMOSS) – NHMRC funded national study on rare and serious disorders of pregnancy; prospective survey of six initial conditions in all hospitals in Australia and New Zealand with over 50 births pa. The initial conditions were: amniotic fluid embolism, antenatal pulmonary embolism, morbid obesity, eclampsia, placenta accrete, peripartum hysterectomy and influenza A requiring ICU admission (CIA Professor Elizabeth Sullivan).
